Daniel Campbell earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Delaware and is a Graduate Gemologist (GG) from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in New York and a Fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (FGA). Dan has had an impressive twenty-five year career in the gems and jewelry industry as a diamond grader, gemologist, GIA instructor and sales administrator in both retail and wholesale jewelry environments. He has graded diamond quality and identified a wide variety of gems for one of the world's leading gem laboratories, the GIA. He has taught thousands of students about gems as an instructor of the GIA and later as the Director of GIA's New York Education Center. By combining this experience with his passion for gems, Dan has developed a comprehensive knowledge covering a wide range of gems and jewelry types, including antique and contemporary jewelry, diamonds, gemstones, and precious metals. Dan also offers seminars and programs in gems and diamonds, including “Famous Diamonds”, “A Year in Birthstones”, and “Phenomenal Gems”. A complete, portable jewelry laboratory allows for either on-site or in-office appraisals, adding value to this new service.
