Contact Liberty

Liberty’s lifelong passion for the fine and decorative arts is reflected in her BA in European history (Bennington College), MA in the Decorative Arts (Cooper Hewitt), Certificate in Fine and Decorative Arts Appraisal Studies (NYU), and USPAP certification (AAA, 2012).

As a senior appraiser and damage/loss specialist at O’Toole-Ewald Art Associates, Inc. (New York City) for the past six years, she drew on her expertise in American and European fine and decorative arts including furniture, ceramics, glass, and designer clothing. Prior to that she was an auction assistant for Phillips de Pury Auctions (New York City) and Lincoln Galleries (Orange, NJ). Her graduate courses included extensive study abroad in England, France, Italy, and Germany. She stays abreast of the market in fine and decorative art by visiting museums, exhibitions, and art shows in New York City and abroad. She regularly attends lectures sponsored by the Association of American Appraisers, the Royal Oak Society for the study of British art and architecture, the Greenwich Antiques Society, and the Decorative Arts Trust.
